Dream Catcher Sequel to Collecting Dreams Sue Whitmer Books Reviews

The forward movement from Ms. Whitmire's book Collection Dreams is uplifting. I appreciated the personal insights into some causes/effects of mental illness. But for me I loved her poetry. The depth of love presented is given so gently that you are almost unaware until you close the book and reflect on the insights.
I have been looking forward to this sequel! With a lovely flavor of San Francisco, combined with the country feel of the main character's Kansas roots, it tells the story of people who need each other--sometimes more than they realize--to make the decisions that will shape their futures. The story of the long-lost jewelry box weaves throughout, a metaphor for what really matters in life! Lovely story, lovingly told.
Sue Whitmer's sequel doesn't disappoint! Her life in California is woven into the book with returning once again to Kansas. The author once again makes you feel as if you are there with her descriptions of both California and Kansas landscapes. The story of her Mother's hoarding continues as the family once again works together to help and understand the psychological effects of the disorder. Like Collecting Dreams, once you begin reading you will not want to put it down. The lost jewelry box reappears. No spoiler alert here, if you want to know if the author finds it you'll have to read the book! An excellent read!
